ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
WILDE STUDIO is committed to making my website and work as accessible as possible. This statement outlines what I've done, what I'm still working on, and how to contact me if you run into a problem.
MY COMMITMENT
I Take Accessibility Seriously
When I design websites and brands for my clients, accessibility isn't an afterthought. It's built in from the start. And that same principle applies to my own website.
Good design should work for everyone. That includes people using screen readers, navigating with keyboards, or requiring different text sizes.
I aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. I know there's always more I can do, and I'm continuously working to improve.
WHAT I'VE IMPLEMENTED
Accessibility Features
Here's what's built into my website:
➕ Semantic HTML My site uses proper heading structure, alt text on all images, and meaningful link text so screen readers can navigate it correctly.
➕ Color contrast Text and backgrounds meet WCAG AA standards for readability, regardless of how you see coloUr.
➕ Keyboard navigation You can navigate the entire website using just your keyboard, without needing a mouse.
➕ Scalable text Font sizes scale responsively and remain readable even if you increase your browser's text size.
➕ Responsive design The site works well on phones, tablets and desktops, with flexible layouts that adapt to different screen sizes.
➕ Clear focus indicators When navigating with a keyboard, you can always see which element has focus.
➕ Alt text on images Every image has descriptive alt text explaining what's there and why it matters.
➕ Form labels Contact forms and inputs are clearly labeled so assistive technologies understand what information is needed.
➕ Plain language I write clearly and directly. No unnecessary jargon. No sentences that make you read them three times.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
What I'm Still Working On
No website is perfect. Here's what I know needs improvement:
➕ Embedded videos If you're watching a video on my site, it may not have captions yet. I'm working on adding them.
➕ PDF documents Some older PDFs in my project library may not be fully accessible. I'm gradually converting these to web-readable formats.
➕ Complex data visualisation If I show a chart or complex diagram, the visual alone might not tell you everything. I'll provide a text description.
This doesn't mean you can't use the site. But if you run into something that doesn't work for you, please let me know. That's how I fix it.
THIRD-PARTY TOOLS
Third-Party Services
My website uses some third-party tools and services (Wix, analytics, booking systems). I've chosen these because they have built-in accessibility features, but I acknowledge that my responsibility extends only to how I've implemented them. If you find that a third-party element isn't accessible, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
FOR CLIENTS
Accessibility in Your Website
When you work with me on your website, accessibility is part of the package. I'll build in proper structure, alt text, color contrast and keyboard navigation from the start. I'll also give you guidance on how to maintain accessibility as you update your site.
If you need something specific, a magnification-friendly layout, particular color schemes, specific assistive technology support, tell me upfront. I'll make sure your website works for your clients.
YOUR FEEDBACK
Something Isn't Working?
If you find something on my website that's difficult to use or that doesn't work with your assistive technology, please reach out. I genuinely want to know.
Email: lola@wildestudio.com.au
In your email, please include:
➕ What you were trying to do
➕ What happened instead
➕ What device, browser or assistive technology you were using
➕ The page URL if you can provide it
I'll get back to you within one week. If there's a problem I can fix, I will.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA Web Content Accessibility Guidelines from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is the standard I aim to meet. Learn more about WCAG 2.1
ARIA Accessible Rich Internet Applications. I use ARIA landmarks and labels where they improve the experience for screen reader users.
Section 508 The US standard for accessibility. It overlaps significantly with WCAG, so my commitment to one supports the other.
